Choptank Charters, a division of Tred Avon Yacht Sales, Inc., is located on the beautiful Tred Avon and Choptank Rivers in historic Oxford, Maryland on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay. Ideally located for weekend sailing charters to Annapolis or Solomon's Island, or as the beginning for an extensive Chesapeake Bay charter cruise, Choptank Charters offers privately owned sail and power charter yachts which are meticulously maintained for the discriminating charterer.
Bareboat Charters
They can run from two days to more then two weeks, so you are assured enough time to explore the 11,684 miles of shoreline which the Chesapeake Bay has to offer. In addition, we have several U.S. Coast Guard licensed captains available for any duration of your sailing vacation, to ensure you a relaxed and memorable charter. Advance reservations are required for all captained or bareboat charter yachts.

In addition to our bareboat charter service, we offer captained day sails aboard any sailing or motor charter yacht of your choice. Where to Sail
Your cruising destinations can be leisurely sails or motor cruises along the Tred Avon or Choptank Rivers and their many creeks with pristine farms and abundant waterfowl or day-long sails to Annapolis, St. Michaels, Solomon's Island or one of the many ports on both shores of the Chesapeake Bay. Safe and secluded anchorages are too numerous to mention throughout the Chesapeake Bay and its many rivers. Many of the friendly ports-of-call have water taxis available, bicycles or rental cars, as well as fine dining, gift shops and museums. Oxford offers several fine restaurants and inns, as well as stores for provisioning of last minute needs.
